Getting mugged

PK told me one of the first year's had gotten mugged right by the Bed Bath & Beyond in SoMa. Bopped on the head, out cold for an hour and a half! Passerbys carried her to a Trader Joe's and apparently they caught the guy, but still, pretty ridiculous.

I generally don't feel worried walking around the city at night, but this was a timely reminder to always be smart, be safe!


I always figure most muggings are crimes of opportunity rather than premediation; and I'm usually not sumptuously dressed or anything, and I'm a good size, so feel secure enough walking around at night....still. Something to keep in mind.
