DOODLE DAY!
So its exactly six days until the triathlon - we're in taper mode, which means you're still exercising, but not as hard, and trying to get enough sleep and rest for the big event!
We spent our Saturday morning swimming at Redwood Shores, then doing a 3M run. Redwood Shores wasn't as gross as Foster City, but there was an amazing number of geese hanging out in the area, and evidence of their residence was EVERYWHERE, in the water, on the dock, all around the lagoon there was mounds of goose poop.
After practice, Jackie and I made it to Doodle Romp - which is where Doodles of all sorts gather at a dog park, and revel in their doodleness, at least that's what I thought it was going to be - but when we got there with Murray, the park was divided into "Small Dogs" and "Venture at your own risk" areas. The doodles were all in the Small Dog area, so we wandered in, then were asked to leave because our dog was too big!!! Can you imagine? Murray didn't care, he went and ran around in the other section, but we didn't need to drive to San Mateo for him to run around...
Geez. The most troublesome dogs at any dog gathering are usually the small yappy ones - being all confrontational and trying to box above their weight. We've got the mellow large dog that just walks away when another dog barks at him!Multiple fire hydrants for the dogs to mark at Seal Point Park!
